Dunfermline moved to within a point of First Division leaders Raith Rovers with a home victory over Dundee.

Nicholas Riley's foul on Joe Cardle gave the home side the chance to open the scoring from the penalty spot and Willie Gibson duly converted.

Steven Bell doubled the Pars' advantage three minutes before the break with a curling shot.

Dundee pulled one back when Gary Harkins headed home but Pat Clarke grabbed Dunfermline's third late on.
