Cowdenbeath 2-1 Partick Thistle

Cowdenbeath came from behind to record a slender win over Partick.

Partick grabbed the opening goal after 18 minutes, Paul Cairney crossing from the right for Kris Doolan to finish.

No sooner had they gone in front than Brian Fairbairn was allowed time and space and he made no mistake with a drilled shot into the top corner.

Jimmy Nicholl's side took control thereafter and grabbed the decisive goal after 54 minutes as John Dempster converted from close-range.
