Alloa 2-1 Cowdenbeath

Alloa leapfrogged Cowdenbeath to go top of the Scottish Second Division with a deserved win at Recreation Park.

Bryan Prunty gave the home side a 16th-minute lead when he thundered the ball home from the edge of the penalty area.

Stuart Noble doubled the Wasps' lead on 58 minutes after he found himself unmarked to pick his spot into the bottom right-hand corner.

Paul McQuade set up a nervy last 20 minutes by side-footing home, following great work by Gareth Wardlaw.
