Brechin City 0-0 Arbroath

Third-placed Brechin were held to a goalless draw by lowly Arbroath in a disappointing derby.

Brechin were first to threaten after 12 minutes when Rory McAllister's header was saved by Darren Hill.

Marc McCulloch went close for Arbroath midway through the first half with an effort which Craig Nelson tipped over.

A fierce drive from McAllister was well saved by Hill shortly before the break and Both sides kept plugging away but settled for a share of the points.
