Cowdenbeath 2-1 East Fife

Cowdenbeath stretched their unbeaten run to five games with a narrow win over East Fife.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the second minute when Brian Fairbairn fired home after John Robertson's shot was parried by keeper Stewart Baillie.

East Fife equalised when Jonathan Smart fed Steve Crawford and he found the net with an impressive 12-yard shot.

Robertson scored the winner from Paul McQuade's cross before Bobby Linn hit the post but Cowdenbeath held on.


Cowdenbeath: Hay, Droudge, Armstrong, Mbu, Linton, Fairbairn (McBride 75), Winter, Robertson, Ramsay, Wardlaw (Adamson 84), McQuade. Subs Not Used: Baxter, Brett, McKay.
