Queen o' South 2-0 Ross County


Queen of the South returned to the top of the Scottish First Division with victory at home over Ross County.

Paul Burns opened the scoring on 26 minutes when his first-time shot from 20 yards flew past County goalkeeper Michael McGovern.

Minutes before the break Queens doubled their advantage when a sweeping move was finished off by Stewart Kean.

County applied more pressure in the second period using three attackers, but Queens held firm for the points.

Queen of the South: Hutton, Reid, Harris, Lilley, McLaughlan, McKenna, Burns, Quinn, McLaren (Wilson 66), Holmes (Wyness 83), Kean.
Subs Not Used: McGeonn, McQuilken, McAusland.
