Airdrie Utd 3-1 Ayr Utd

Airdrie United won their first league match of the season thanks to a splendid double from Alan Trouten.

Ayr United's Craig Samson produced a succession of fine saves before his fumble led to Trouten's opener.

On the stroke of half-time the scores were levelled when Ryan McCann knocked a hopeful cross into his own net.

Diarmuid O'Carroll forced in a second goal for the home side on 64 minutes and Trouten chipped in a neat finish to seal the victory.
