Peterhead 0-0 Alloa Athletic

Peterhead were left to rue a missed penalty as a dour game against Alloa Athletic ended goalless.

The home side were awarded a spot-kick after half an hour but Alloa keeper Derek Crawford dived to his right to make a fine save from John Stewart.

Peterhead could have scored soon after but Stewart failed to connect with a David Ross cut-back.

As the rain lashed down after the break, chances were few, although Martin Bavidge hit the bar late on.
