Queen of the South recorded a comfortable First Division victory over Airdrie United at Palmerston.

David Lilley marked his 100th appearance for Queens by opening the scoring in 27th minute.

Stewart Kean extended the home side's lead four minutes later when he converted a rebound shot after Derek Holmes' effort had been saved.

Dennis Wyness completed the scoring with seven minutes remaining, heading home Barry Wilson's cross.
