Brechin edged out East Fife in a five-goal thriller at Glebe Park.
The visitors went ahead on 15 minutes through David Muir's shot but Charlie King quickly levelled with a penalty after Mark Docherty had been fouled.
Paul McManus restored East Fife's lead with a 49th-minute spot-kick after John Ovenstone had been felled in the box.
But Paul McLean struck from close range to equalise on 75 minutes and King headed the winner with six minutes left to maintain Brechin's 100% home record.
