Raith Rovers 1-0 Queen of South


Queen of the South surrendered top spot in the First Division after falling to a narrow defeat by Raith Rovers.

Raith goalkeeper David McGurn blocked Derek Holmes header in a first half of few chances.

Captain Iain Davidson made a crucial block for the home side after the break to deny Paul Burns.

And Rovers were rewarded for their hard work when Johnny Russell slammed home at the back post following Mark Ferry's cross in the 75th minute.

Raith: McGurn, Murray, Ellis (Serry 49), Campbell, Hill, Davidson (Sloan 54), Williamson (Weir 72), Walker, Russell, Tade, Smith.
