Elgin City 0-2 Albion Rovers

Albion Rovers extended their advantage at the top of Division Three after defeating a poor Elgin side.

The leaders survived a scare when Mark Nicolson's 30-yard blast was touched on to the post by keeper Derek Gaston.

After 31 minutes, Rovers broke the deadlock, David McFarlane heading home from close range after Elgin failed to clear a corner.

Four minutes later, Marc Pollock fed Mark Canning 20 yards from goal and the midfielder fired in a superb low drive.
