Inverness CT 1-3 Queen of South


Derek Holmes' hat-trick fired Queen of the South to the top of the Scottish First Division with a win at Inverness.

Former Caley Thistle striker Dennis Wyness played in Holmes to net a 25-yard volley after only 32 seconds.

Jonny Hayes fired home an angled free-kick from 25 yards to equalise for Inverness after 18 minutes.

Holmes connected with a close-range header seven minutes from time and completed his treble in the last minute with a low shot from 12 yards.

Inverness CT: Esson, Tokely, Bulvitis, Munro, Golabek, Cox, Eagle (Rooney 76), Duncan, Foran, Sanchez (Imrie 71), Hayes.
