Griffiths and Harkins scored Dundee's goals against Thistle

Dundee knocked Partick Thistle off the top of the First Division table with a hard-fought win at Dens Park.

Leigh Griffiths put the Dark Blues ahead after four minutes, steering home an Eddie Malone cross from eight yards.

Gary Harkins doubled the lead after the break with a low 20-yard effort into Jon Tuffey's left-hand corner.

Dundee keeper Tony Bullock made three outstanding stops from Chris Erskine, David Rowson and Simon Donnelly to deny the visitors a consolation.
