John Robertson gave them the lead six minutes before the break with a predatory strike after Chris McCluskey spilled the ball.

They doubled their lead through Scott McBride's disputed penalty after McCluskey fouled Gareth Wardlaw.

Referee Brian Colvin gave the spot kick after consulting assistant George Drummond, and Stenhousemuir failed to find a way back into the game.
