Partick Thistle 2-0 Airdrie

Partick moved to the top of Division One with a hard-fought victory over 10-man Airdrie at Firhill.

John Baird went close for the visitors before Bobby Donnelly's last-ditch tackle prevented Partick striker Liam Buchanan from breaking the deadlock.

Airdrie were reduced to 10 men when Scott McLaughlin was sent off for a professional foul on Paul Paton.

Bryan Hodge gave Partick the lead after 53 minutes and Mark Donnelly sealed victory with a fine 12-yard drive.
