Co-caretaker managers James Grady and Allan McManus guided Morton to victory over Airdrie United at Cappielow as the Ton climbed off the foot of the table.

Brian Graham's 79th-minute winner was the result of an error by Airdrie goalkeeper Stephen Robertson, who spilled the ball into Graham's path.

The Morton striker slotted the ball into the roof of the net from six yards for his first goal of the season.

Morton's Peter Weatherson had earlier seen a free-kick curl inches wide.
