Dunfermline 1-4 Queen of South


Queen of the South moved to the top of the First Division after thumping Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.

The visitors took the lead against the run of play when Dennis Wyness scored a debut goal from a tight angle, then Nicky Phinn headed an equaliser.

Midfielder Paul Burns' stunning strike restored Queens' lead before he lobbed stranded Pars goalkeeper Greg Fleming.

Derek Holmes scored to make it 4-1 by half-time after referee Frank McDermott awarded a controversial penalty.
