Dunfermline Athletic 2-0 Airdrie


Trialist Tom Nolan scored an own goal with his first touch of the ball as Dunfermline Athletic moved to the top of Division One by beating Airdrie.

The match was delayed early in the first half as a referee Anthony Law was carried off injured and a replacement had to be found in the crowd.

Graeme Bayne nodded Alex Burke's corner under Stephen Robertson to open the scoring and Joe Cardle also went close.

Sub Nolan then hammered the ball past his own goalkeeper from six yards out.

Dunfermline: Fleming, Woods, McCann, Bell, McGregor, Higgins, Gibson, Burke, Bayne, Kirk (Phinn 69), Cardle (McDougall 79).
Subs Not Used: Dowie, Muirhead, Paterson.
