Dumbarton made mathematically sure of the Third Division title with victory away to Annan Athletic.

The champions took the lead after 23 minutes when Ross Clark rammed home Ross Forbes' cross from close range.

McLaughlin doubled the Sons' lead three minutes after the break when he drilled home the rebound from his own shot.

Annan pulled one back in 66 minutes when Peter Watson forced home a corner, but Derek Carcary made it 3-1 near the end with a simple finish.


Annan Athletic: Summersgill, Watson, Hoolickin (Dunbar 53), Townsley, Neilson, Jack, Sloan, McBeth, Storey, Bell, Adamson (Campbell 53).
