Montrose 2-1 Cowdenbeath

Cowdenbeath surrendered top spot in the Third Division following defeat to Montrose at Links Park.

The visitors took the lead after eight minutes when John Robertson's cross was volleyed home by John Gemmell.

Player-manager Steven Tweed levelled for Montrose with a header from Stephen Black's corner on 65 minutes.

And Chris Hegarty secured victory for the Gable Endies with a 72nd-minute penalty after Kevin Bradley had been fouled by Scott Lindon.
