Stephen McConalogue's stunning 25-yarder handed struggling ten-man Stranraer three valuable points.

The Blues took the lead after half an hour when Kevin Nicoll too advantage of a defensive error to volley home.

McConalogue doubled the advantage after 38 minutes, curling the ball into the top-left-hand corner.

East Fife got back into the game on 43 minutes through Chris Templeman and Gregory Tade was sent-off with six minutes to go but Stranraer held on.


East Fife: McCulloch, Nugent (Stewart 55), Fotheringham, Tweed, Cameron, Shields, Young, Crawford, Linn, McManus, Templeman (Campbell 77). Subs Not Used: O'Reilly, Walker, Brown.
