Ayr United 2-1 Queen's Park

Red-hot Bryan Prunty fired his fifth and sixth goals of the season to keep Ayr top of Scottish Second Division.

The in-form striker struck a first-half double to put Ayr in control against the Spiders.

Prunty bagged his first after just two minutes and doubled the lead on 26 minutes when he headed home a cross from full-back Allan Dempsie.

Tony Quinn pulled one back for Queens on 50 minutes and sub David Murray missed a late sitter to steal a point.
