Eddie Forrest's first goal for East Stirling was enough to secure a narrow win over Albion Rovers at Ochilview.
The only goal of the game came in 31 minutes after James Gibson's cross was headed back across goal for Forrest to head into the net.
Rovers came closest to equalising in the 77th-minute when Bobby Barr's 20-yard shot flew wide.
Brian Graham should have doubled Shire's lead in the final minute, but his effort struck the woodwork.
