Dumbarton 0-0 Montrose

Montrose secured a play-off place after holding Dumbarton to a scoreless draw.

The hosts started strongly, with Liam Cusack twice going close while at the other end Steven Doris blasted a shot high over the crossbar.

Montrose keeper Mark Peat did well to deny Andy Geggan while his opposite number, David Crawford, tipped John Baird's looping header over the bar.

Sons' Ryan Russell came close late on but again Peat denied them before Doris almost sneaked a winner for Montrose.
