Division Three award for Smart

East Fife defender Jonathan Smart
Smart is a big favourite with the East Fife fans

East Fife defender Jonathan Smart has been named the Third Division's Player of the Year.

The 27-year-old has been outstanding as the Methil side ran away with the title and pitched in with eight goals.

Smart, in his second season at East Fife, has formed a formidable defensive partnership with Steven Tweed.

ANd he saw off competition from Montrose striker John Baird, Andrew Brand of East Stirlingshire and Zander Sutherland, who is on loan at Elgin.
