Alloa Athletic 2-0 Peterhead

Alloa Athletic move into fourth place after a well earned victory against Peterhead at Recreation Park.

John Grant rose highest to head the Wasps into a 47th minute lead from Scott Agnew's corner.

And just a minute later, Kyle McAuley drilled in a second with the visitors unable to clear their lines.

In the first half, Peterhead twice came close to scoring. Stuart Smith powered a free kick just over the top, then Ray Jellema saved well from Donnie Munro.

Alloa Athletic: Jellema, McClune, Buist , Hodge, Townsley, Grant, Scott, Brown Ferguson (McKeown 25), Coakley (Clark 82), Agnew, McAuley (Andrew 79). Subs Not Used: Hay, Bruce.
