Brechin City 3-2 Raith Rovers


Brechin City moved closer to a play-off spot with a well deserved victory over Raith Rovers at Glebe Park.

Kevin Byers slotted home inside 60 seconds and Iain Diack steered in a shot to double Brechin's advantage.

Richard Walker handed Raith a lifeline with a headed own goal but the two-goal advantage was restored when Diack volleyed home a Michael Paton cross.

Rovers scored a late consolation when substitute Derek Carcary fired home from close range.

Brechin City: Craig Nelson, Richard Walker, Dyer, Ward, White, Janczyk, Byers, Paton (Calum Smith 84), Diack (Nicholas Walker 76), King, Darren Smith. Subs Not Used: Scott Walker, Adam Nelson, McCluskey.
