First Division rebels to meet SPL
Representatives of First Division clubs will meet the Scottish Premier League on Thursday in an attempt to agree a radical shake-up of Scottish football.

First Division clubs withdrew threats of a breakaway from the SFL and issued a blueprint for the future.

And there are uncomfirmed reports that the Second and Third Division clubs have also now given it their backing.

Now the First Division clubs plan to meet SPL officials to state their case on Thursday.

First Division clubs want regional leagues to replace the present Second and Third Divisions.

These would act as feeder leagues and would be open to entry to ambitious junior and other non-league clubs.
