Honours finished even at Love Street as St Mirren and Falkirk battled out a goalless draw.
The opening 45 minutes were a tame affair, with the only effort on target being a Brian McGinty half-volley for St Mirren.
However, the second half was much livelier with Davide Xausa firing a ferocious 25-yard drive narrowly over in the opening seconds for Falkirk.
St Mirren almost broke the deadlock moments later when McGinty surged from the
left wing into the Falkirk box only to crash a shot off the base of the post.
Then, with 10 minutes to go, Falkirk could have snatched the win.
Kevin James was barged off the ball in the area by Kirk Broadfoot and John O'Neil took the ensuing penalty, but Craig Hinchcliffe dived to push the ball
