Arbroath 1-2 Clyde

Clyde kept their faint title hopes on track with a hard-fought victory against Arbroath at Gayfield.

Clyde started the stronger and struck the crossbar twice before Willie Falconer headed the Bully Wee in front after 12 minutes.

David Hagen rammed home Clyde's second from outside the box in the 64th minute, moments after Gavin Swankie forced a great save from the visitors' goalkeeper Bryn Halliwell.

Andy Dow gave Arbroath hope when he curled home a 74th-minute free-kick from just outside the box but it was merely a consolation.

Arbroath: Hinchcliffe, McMillan, Dow, Forrest, Ritchie, Currie, Heenan, Swankie, Feroz, McGlashan, Brownlie.

Subs: Henslee, McAulay, McInally, Spink, Woodcock.

Clyde: Halliwell, Potter, Mensing, Kernaghan, Kane, Ross, Hagen, Millen, Falconer, Cosgrove, McConalogue.

Subs: Convery, Bossy, McLaughlin, Shields, Morrison.

Referee: D Somers
