Defender Chris Kerr celebrates his goal for St Mirren
A double strike from forward Mark Yardley set St Mirren on their way to a comprehensive home win over Clyde.

Saints made a perfect start with a goal inside two minutes, Yardley netting after great play between Jose Quitongo and Ricky Gillies.

The 31-year-old grabbed his second goal after seven minutes when he was perfectly placed to knock the ball over the line from a Chris Kerr cross.

The visitors reduced the deficit after 43 minutes when Brian Crawford cracked a terrific shot past helpless Ludovic Roy.

Despite the visitors having most of the pressure in the second half it was Saints who next bulged the net when defender Kerr rose unchallenged to powerfully head home after 64 minutes.

With 10 minutes remaining, the points were wrapped up when Scott Walker headed in a cross from substitute Hugh Murray.
