Stirling 1-3 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle left it late to beat First Division rivals Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup third round.

Neither goalkeeper was really tested in the first half but after the break Paul Cairney found the net with a 12-yard finish from Chris Erskine's cross.

Stirling levelled in the 73rd minute when Gordon Smith shot from 20 yards.

Two goals in the last five minutes put Thistle through. Simon Donnelly lashed in from 18 yards and then Martin Geehan finished from Patrick Boyle's cross.

Stirling: Christie, Corrigan, Buist , Allison, Kane (McHale 72), Gibson (Comvalius 56), Heeking, Aitken, Robertson, Borris (Flood 88), Smith.
Subs Not Used: Reidford, Gregor McDonald.
