Morton thumped Stranraer to secure their passage into the second round of the Co-Operative Insurance Cup.

The visitors went ahead on 27 minutes through Stewart Kean's strike and Graeme Holmes volleyed home soon after.

Kean netted his second when he slotted home Carli Monti's cross before the supplier bagged a goal for himself.

Stuart McColm netted a consolation for the Blues but Peter Weatherston struck on 71 and 76 minutes before Kevin Kelbie netted a late seventh.
