Goal hero Scott Boyd is mobbed by team-mates following his late header
Ross County staged a dramatic late comeback to sink Hibernian and set up a Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic.
With 20 minutes of the replay left, the First Division side were trailing to Anthony Stokes' close range header.
But Garry Wood bundled in the equaliser after a melee inside the visitors' penalty box.
The Highlanders finished the stronger side and Scott Boyd was the hero, heading in as Hibs keeper Graeme Smith made a mess of collecting a corner.
The decisive goal came on 89 minutes and a largely well-behaved pitch invasion followed soon after as a packed Victoria Park burst a riot of noise and colour on the final whistle.
The Dingwall side had never progressed beyond the last 16 in this tournament before but now have a trip to Hampden to look forward to.
It was yet more Scottish Cup heartache for Hibs, who last lifted the trophy in 1902, but John Hughes' team were lacklustre save for a 10 minute spell at the start of the second half and can have no complaints about their surprise exit, having been outplayed for long spells in the first tie at Easter Road.
The Hibs defence, missing injured duo Chris Hogg and Paul Hanlon, started nervously but it took County 40 minutes to test Smith.
With the visitors backing off, Michael Gardyne was allowed to progress and let fly with a shot from 22 yards but it was straight at the keeper, who pushed the ball over his own crossbar.
Gardyne had earlier ballooned an effort off target and lone striker Andrew Barrowman scuffed one wide after good work from Scott Morrison.
Hibs offered next to nothing in a disjointed first half, with Liam Miller's early long range strike easily gathered by Michael McGovern and Boyd making a good block to deny Stokes.
However, the Irish striker wasted no time making his mark in the second half, nodding home from six yards as County failed to deal with a corner less than a minute after the restart.
Derek Riordan, who won the corner when his stinging shot was diverted behind, sent in the delivery and Colin Nish and Souleymane Bamba won headers before Stokes applied the finishing touch.
Stokes then went close with a good old fashioned toe-bash as the Edinburgh side sought to quickly build on their lead.
The Highlanders responded with a Barrowman header at the back post that looped over a stranded Smith but bounced a few feet wide, while Martin Scott's shot was deflected over by a Steven Thicot challenge.
County were level on 70 minutes when substitute Wood was on hand to bundle the ball into the net following an almighty scramble, which saw Smith save at the feet of Barrowman.
McGovern smothered a breakaway effort from Stokes either side of two powerful strikes from County midfielder Iain Vigurs that were not too far away.
The muscular Wood burst into the Hibs penalty area and set up Steven Craig, whose mis-hit shot was deflected wide.
The momentum was firmly with the home side in the closing stages and their efforts were rewarded by a dramatic last-gasp goal.
Smith made a hash of coming for a Richard Brittain corner, crashing into a team-mate, and Boyd rose at the back post to send the ball into the net and the home crowd into a frenzy of wild celebration.
