Elgin City 3-0 Albion Rovers

ALBA Challenge Cup

Elgin eased past Albion Rovers in the second round of the Alba Challenge Cup in a match where both sides finished with 10 men.

After a scoreless first half, Albion's Mark Canning was dismissed for a professional foul on Jason Crooks, who converted the resulting penalty.

Neil Mcdonald was then sent off for the hosts after receiving a second booking.

Craig Gunn showed pace to notch two goals in the last 10 minutes and ensure Elgin's progress to the quarter-finals.

Elgin: Gibson, Niven (Calder 86), David A Craig (MacAulay 46), Kaczan, David W Craig, Mcdonald, Gunn, Edwards, Frizzel (Cameron 89), Nicolson, Crooks.
