Stranraer 4-2 Berwick Rangers

ALBA Challenge Cup

Stranraer won a bad-tempered Alba Challenge Cup tie at Stair Park as both sides finished the game with 10 men.

Martin Jack fired the hosts in front and Danny Mitchell made it two from the spot after Jack was felled in the box.

Berwick's Jamie Ewart reduced the deficit with a header before seeing red in the tunnel. Steven Noble was sent off for the home side for dissent.

Mitchell made it three before Ian Little pulled one back and Ray Montgomerie struck Stranraer's fourth.


Stranraer: David Mitchell, McGrath, Wright, Nicoll, Henderson, Donald (Aitken 67), McGeouch (McMahon 85), Danny Mitchell, McColm (Montgomerie 46), Jack, Noble.
