Adams claims referee cost County

Ross County manager Derek Adams claims referee Crawford Allan cost his side their place in the Scottish Cup after losing out 1-0 to Hamilton Accies.

"I feel that two decisions from the standside linesman and referee have cost us the game," he said.

"He should have sent their goalkeeper off - it looked like it was a handball outside the penalty area.

"James McArthur should have been sent off for an intentional lunge at one of our players early in the first half."

A first-half header from Chris Swailes won the match for Hamilton and Adams is convinced his side would have had a chance of victory if not for the referee.

"These decisions are massive and they didn't go for us. I'm very disappointed and angry because that affects people's livelihoods," he said.

"Hamilton have gone through, but we've performed well, totally dominated the second half.

"The SFA ask us for respect? Well, they'll actually have to improve their performance ... the referee's put us out the cup."
