Dunfermline Athletic 2-0 Clyde

Homecoming Scottish Cup

Dunfermline Athletic progressed to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup despite a battling display from First Division rivals Clyde.

Pat Clarke, who has been attracting transfer interest, forced a couple of saves from Pars keeper Paul Gallacher.

But, when Steven Bell's cross evaded the defence, Nicky Phinn was on hand to fire Dunfermline ahead.

Clyde's Dave McKay had a penalty claim rejected before Graham Bayne fired in from 18 yards after the break.


Dunfermline: Gallacher, Woods (Scott Thomson 66), Wilson, Phinn, Shields, Muirhead, Loy, Glass, Bayne (Burke 79), Kirk (Mole 58), Bell.
