Saints' cup game with Gers on BBC

St Johnstone and Rangers contested a close match last season

The Homecoming Scottish Cup fourth round tie between St Johnstone and Rangers at McDiarmid Park will be screened live on BBC Scotland.

The tie will be played on Tuesday 13 January with a 2005 GMT kick-off.

The two sides met in last season's semi-finals with Rangers progressing to the final on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time.

Walter Smith's side went on to win the trophy by beating Queen of the South in the final.

St Johnstone beat Rangers at Ibrox in a League Cup quarter-final tie in 2007 and Derek McInnes' side currently lead the First Division.
