Ross County 2-2 Dumbarton

Homecoming Scottish Cup

Two late goals from substitute Derek Carcary earned Third Division Dumbarton an unlikely draw against 10-man Ross County at Victoria Park.

County took the lead after 23 minutes when Sean Higgins slid the ball past Dumbarton keeper David McEwan.

Five minutes from half-time the home side's Dyron Daal was sent off for a wild tackle on Andy Greggan.

Higgins doubled County's lead in the 57th minute but Carcary's late double earned Dumbarton a replay.


Ross County: Bullock, McCulloch, Keddie, Dowie, Boyd (Morrison 74), Watt (Hart 62), Scott, Brittain, Daal, Higgins, Strachan (Gardyne 78). Subs Not Used: Soutar, Grant.

Sent Off: Daal (40).

Goals: Higgins 23, 57.

Dumbarton: McEwan, Canning, Dunlop (Cusack 74), O'Byrne, Gordon, Clark, Chisholm (Carcary 50), Geggan, McLeod, Michael Moore (Keegan 60), Murray. Subs Not Used: McGeown, Lennon.
