Albion Rovers 1-2 Queen's Park

Homecoming Scottish Cup

Queen's Park progressed to the fourth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup following a 2-1 victory over Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill.

The visitors went in front in the 11th minute when Ian Watt fired home a loose ball after Albion goalkeeper Tony Mitchell spilled a Barry Douglas cross.

Paul Cairney was fouled by Alan Benton inside the box and scored the resultant spot kick on 51 minutes.

Bobby Barr scored Albion's consolation direct from a corner after 63 minutes.


Albion: Mitchell, Reid, McGowan, Donnelly, Benton, Robert Walker, Barr, Ferry, Eaglesham (Coyne 78), Pollock, Adam (Crozier 60).
