Partick Thistle 2-1 Queen's Park


Damon Gray and Mark Roberts both netted inside the opening 10 minutes as Partick Thistle secured their place in the second round of the Challenge Cup.

Gray bagged the first after seven minutes and Roberts claimed his goal two minutes later.

Queens hit back in the 17th minute through Jack Henry but the visitors were later reduced to 10 men.

Captain Richard Sinclair was shown a straight red card in the 66th minute following a challenge on Ian Maxwell.

Partick: Tuffey, Paton, Twaddle, Storey, John Robertson, Maxwell, Chaplain (McStay 71), Rowson, Gray (McKinlay 80), Roberts (Donnelly 63), Harkins.
Subs Not Used: Hinchcliffe, Kinniburgh.
