Stenhousemuir 0-1 Albion Rovers

SFL

Albion Rovers progressed to the second round of the Challenge Cup following a controversial win at Stenhousemuir.

The visitors had the bulk of the game but it took a penalty late in the match to send Albion through.

Rovers forward Patrick Walker went down under a challenge from Stenny defender Gary Thom and captain Ciaran Donnelly made no mistake from the spot.

It was no more than Albion deserved with youngsters Marc Pollock and Bobby Barr putting on fine performances.
