Deveronvale clinched a Scottish Cup third-round clash with Elgin after a hard-fought win over Fraserburgh.
The hosts' Steve Dolan scored an own goal after eight minutes but Mark Smith's header in the 21st minute restored parity.
The game was an even contest but it was Vale who got the crucial goal in the 74th minute.
A good move down the right saw Paul Urquhart cross and Smith was on hand to nod home the winner.
