CIS Insurance Cup
Queen of the South held off a threatened fightback by Division One rivals Clyde to move comfortably into the second round of the CIS Cup.

Goals from John O'Neill, Murray Henderson and Graham Weir had Queens in the driving seat by the 32nd minute.

Douglas Imrie pulled a goal back two minutes before the break, but O'Neill's second killed the tie stone dead.

Clyde dominated the second half and scored a deserved second thanks to Stephen O'Donnell's penalty.
