Bergkamp shows his best form in the 1997-98 season; his spectacular hat-trick earning a 3-3 draw at Leicester
His efforts help Arsenal clinch the Premiership and FA Cup double, although he misses the FA Cup final through injury
Bergkamp is also awarded the PFA player of the year title and comes third in Fifa's player of the year awards
At the 1998 World Cup, Bergkamp scores one of the goals of the tournament, but Holland again fail to reach the final
Bergkamp continues to be a pivotal figure in the Arsenal side, although silverware eludes them for a couple of seasons
The Gunners reach the final of the 2000 Uefa Cup, but are held 0-0 by Turkish side Galatasaray and lose 4-1 on penalties
Bergkamp ends his international career without a trophy after Holland lose their Euro 2000 semi-final against Italy
On the domestic front, he wins the 2002 goal of the season as Arsenal again take the League and FA Cup double
Arsenal win the FA Cup again in 2003, and Bergkamp plays his part in their unbeaten march to the 2004 Premiership title
The 2005-06 season is Bergkamp's last, and although he is not a regular starter, he scores some crucial goals
His last goal for Arsenal, against West Brom, fittingly comes on 'Bergkamp Day', held by the club in his honour
But Champions League glory escapes him in his last Arsenal match, as the Gunners lose the final to Barcelona
