Adrian Chiles profile
Adrian Chiles
Match of the Day 2
Sundays, 2230 BST, BBC Two

Adrian Chiles presents Match of the Day 2, Five Live's Chiles on Saturday and BBC Two's Working Lunch.

Adrian was born in Birmingham in March 1967.

After gaining a degree in English Literature from the University of London, Adrian planned to teach English abroad, but a broken leg put an end to both that and an only slightly promising goalkeeping career.

He attended a journalism course in Cardiff and worked as a sports reporter for, amongst others, the News of the World.

Adrian joined the BBC originally for three weeks' work experience on Business Breakfast.

This led to a full-time position as an assistant producer and by October 1993, Adrian was presenting Radio 4's Financial World Tonight.

The launch of Radio Five Live in 1994 gave Adrian the opportunity of becoming presenter of his own business programme, 'Wake Up to Money', which continues on Five Live today.

Since August 2001 Adrian has also presented Wednesday's late edition of 6-0-6, Five Live's flagship football phone-in.

Adrian is married to a fellow Five Live presenter, Jane Garvey and they have two children.

He lists his interests as childcare, his wife, West Bromwich Albion, golf and cooking (in that order).
