Colwyn Bay appoint a new manager

Colwyn Bay have appointed Neil Young as their new manager following the recent resignation of Steve Pope.

Young takes over the Unibond First Division North side after being the assistant manager at Rhyl.

"Neil comes highly recommended from a number of people within the game," said Colwyn Bay managing director Darren Cartwright.

"His experience of both Unibond and Welsh Premier leagues will be advantageous for player recruitment."

Young will be assisted by former Tranmere Rovers and Nottingham Forest star Gary Jones.

Earlier in the month Pope resigned as manager due to personal reasons with former Leek Town manager Mark Cartwright placed in temporary charge of team affairs.
