Liverpool and Wales Youth goalkeeper Chris Sanna is set to turn down a possible transfer to Manchester United in favour of a move to the Nationwide League.
The 16-year-old, who has also been offered terms to stay at Anfield, has been on trial at Leicester and Stoke, and there is intense interest in securing his signature.
Sanna has impressed United coach Francisco Filho and he would be keen to take the youngster to Old Trafford.
However, Liverpool would be likely to ask for compensation if the player was to move to their arch rivals, meaning that a move down the leagues is more likely.
